Like it or not, our mental patterns shape our behavior, and our behavior creates our results. We don’t do what we know we should. We approach our goal, and then just when it is within reach, we sabotage ourselves. Why?
We all know that we have a conscious mind which is the logical rational mind that we use to think and plan. It’s the part of the mind we love to believe is in control. However, we have a second mind, our unconscious mind that runs our body, stores our memories, controls our habits and governs our emotions. Unless these two minds are in alignment, we experience a constant tug of war. If it feels like you are fighting with yourself, that’s normally evidence that your two minds are not in harmony.
As an Empowerment Facilitator, I use NLP and hypnosis, which are very powerful tools that we use to help you use the power for your mind to release your inner blocks and self sabotage. You are then free to harness the power of your unconscious mind to create the future you desire. As your expert guide I help you identify and transform major core belief issues, limiting patterns and negative emotions into constructive and positive ones.
NLP and hypnosis are not mind control or a magic wand. They are powerful, gentle and respectful, techniques to make effective, long-term changes easily and quickly. Since I am not a medical doctor, psychiatrist, or psychologist I can’t and don’t claim to replace the services of these professionals. However, my clients tell me that a few short hours got better results than months of conventional therapy.
You are not knocked out, unconscious or a zombie – in fact, quit the opposite. You are an active participant in the entire process. Once your internal changes are complete, you now have choice. This choice leads to self-esteem; trust in the universe, and a positive attitude, which naturally guide your actions in the direction of success. Your new attitude allows you to take the actions necessary to manifest the changes you desire in your physical world.
If enough is enough and you are ready to change now, call to book an appointment. This type of work is not appropriate for everyone, but we will both know if you’ll benefit by the end of the first hour. So if for any reason you aren’t completely satisfied at the end of that hour, you owe me nothing. All I ask is that you be sincere about making changes and engage fully in the process. I’m willing to take all the risk because I know that our chances of success are excellent.
How can I find out more before committing myself?
We begin with a free initial consultation by phone. This allows us to both decide if we should be working together. I get some details about your situation and you can ask any further questions. This initial
consultation is without any obligation. You are under no obligation to proceed, and if I don’t think I can help you, I’ll tell you at that point.
If we proceed to the next step and deicide to work together, the first session is normally two hours. During that time we will get into your situation in detail and begin to do “the work”. During that session you will normally experience some change, and we will normally both know if our working together will be beneficial. If we both don’t agree that the first session was of value, then there will be no charge for that session and our working arrangement will end at that point.
How many sessions will it take depends on the issue your are working on, and the circumstances in your life that hold that issue in place. Uncomplicated issues such as simple fears and phobias can normally be dealt with in our first session. I can see two different people who appear to have the same issue, and one person might only need a single session while the other might need four or five sessions because that one issue is intertwined with other issues or circumstances in the person’s life.
Weight Loss
When most people want to lose weight they run to the latest fad diet hoping to quickly get those extra pounds off. At first their diet gives them a sense of control as they take conscious control of their eating patterns. They experience some initial success and the scale drops, but soon they find themselves fighting cravings for forbidden foods.
Just the thought of going on a “diet” is depressing to most people. They think of giving up foods that provide comfort or they think make them happy. Thoughts of sitting at a party with celery sticks while others are shoveling down delicious goodies even cause some people stop socializing because food is such a big part of social interaction. Now, they feel deprived, alienated and alone, which causes them to give up and return to the world of happy uncontrolled eating, carrying negative feelings toward healthy foods because they are “diet foods.”
If you are reading this page, you may have you been there. You were on one of the many diets where you were not eating the way you will eat for the rest of your life. You told yourself “this is just for the diet” and forced yourself to eat foods you didn’t like and didn’t find satisfying. Sure you did great for a while, but then you started to rebel against your diet and start “cheating”. Yeah at first you may have been able to keep your cheating under control and still lost weight, but eventually you couldn’t take it any longer. You rebelled and returned to your old eating habits. Even if you did stick with it and attained your weight goal, you found yourself back at your old weight or even heavier in a few months once you returned to your old eating habits.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad mews, but the reality is that diets don’t work. Achieving a healthy weight on a permanent basis requires a change in lifestyle – it’s not an one-time event. Unfortunately, dieting usually causes you to lose lean muscle mass as well as fat and water weight. When you to lose muscle, your metabolism slows down and you have to eat even fewer calories per day just to continue to maintain your weight. That’s why your weight comes back with a vengeance, but as fat rather than as the muscle you lost and you end up looking even more fat and unhealthy.
Now the good news, believe it or not, your appetite can become your best friend! People who maintain a healthy weight may occasionally overindulge,
but for the most part they have developed good habits and become very tuned in to their bodies.Their appetite allows the naturally slender person to eat guilt free and to enjoy every mouthful of food needed to satisfy the nutritional needs of their bodies. Eating properly is meant to be enjoyable because it is an essential part of a healthy life.
When you are tuned in to it, your appetite tells you when your desire for food is due to the nutritional and energy needs of your body rather than a response to emotional triggers. You know when you don’t need nourishment and that food will only cause problems (like heart disease, diabetes and poor self-esteem).
For the chronic binge eater, eating is process that is often associated with guilt. The binger overeats to fill a need, a void, an emptiness deep inside; not to satisfy the body’s legitimate need for nourishment. It is the underlying sense that something is missing, something is wrong with them, or with their world, that drives their behaviour. Food can’t possibly work because hunger is not the problem. This void must be addressed first to eliminate the feelings of being out of control, self-sabotage, and resulting loss of self-esteem that cause overeating.
Our early programming can also be responsible for those extra pounds as well. Beliefs like “I’ve got to eat everything on my plate”, “If I don’t eat I’ll offend someone”, or “Food is a reward” are often responsible for the consumption of countless unneeded calories. These types of beliefs often cause a person to add 2 or 3 pounds per year that eventually result in a serious weight problem.

Reaching your healthy weight permanently requires combating your overeating in response to emotional triggers such as stress, frustration, anxiety or poor self-esteem. It also requires proper beliefs about food that allow you remain in control and make food choices that don’t cause your body to crave unneeded or unhealthy foods.
NLP and hypnosis allow us to make changes to your thought patterns so your weight loss is achieved faster by helping you to reduce your portion sizes and encourage the desire to exercise. When you deal with the root causes of why you were eating incorrectly in the first place and enlist the resources of your unconscious mind to work with you rather than against you, the struggle disappears. You easily turn down sweets and unhealthy junk foods as you begin to love eating nutritious foods and developing new behaviour patterns that create permanent weight loss in a cravings free manner.
By addressing the root causes and clearing them you regain control, and rather than gaining a few pounds each year like most of your friends, you create a new naturally slender strategy allows you to lose weight each month until you reach a healthy body weight. Your friends you haven’t seen in awhile will be impressed by the difference. You won’t need to shock your body and slow down your metabolism with a deprivation diet, but instead you will enjoy feeding yourself with appropriate amounts of good healthy food. You can increase your energy level and feelings of well being which naturally lead to increased activity levels and overall good health.
Stress Reduction
A recent Ipsos-Reid Poll revealed that over 3.5 million Canadians experience severe stress in their daily lives. Emotional symptoms like feelings of resentment, anger, or helplessness and physical symptoms such as high blood pressure, indigestion, disrupted sleep patterns, loss of appetite or low sex drive, are just a few possible indications that you one of them.
Stress is what you experience if the demands in your life outstrip your real or imagined ability to cope with them. This stress can be related to your workplace, relationships, finances, or family.
Everyone experiences stress to some degree, and healthy doses of stress keep you motivated and challenge you to perform to your full potential. Constant and unyielding stress can undermine your health and negatively impact your ability to function day-to-day. Scarily enough, excess stress is also a leading cause of poor health.
There are many ways of dealing with stress. You’ve probably tried many of them. Some are negative, such as overeating or abusing substances. Others, like exercise, meditation, and talking, are positive.
One natural and very effective way of dealing with stress is using hypnosis. Hypnosis has no negative side effects and the benefits are wide-ranging. Self-hypnosis techniques allow you to relax, to adopt healthy ways of dealing with stress, and to leave negative coping patterns behind. Your stress is often not due to your circumstances, but due to your beliefs or interpretation about those circumstances. Hypnosis can give you the power to change those beliefs or interpretations and cause your stress to vanish. Once you learn effective self-hypnosis techniques for the ongoing stress control the techniques become yours, and you can use them for the rest of your life!

Performance Enhancement
- staying cool and calm under pressure…
- scoring the goal… making the shot… crossing the finish line… making the sale
- effortlessly breaking performance plateaus that you’ve been struggling to conquer…
- find the energy to work or train harder and push yourself to new levels of performance…
Before Roger Banister ran the 4 minute mile in 1954, experts believed that running a mile in less than four minutes was beyond human ability. Some even believed that even if you could, your heart would explode. However once this important psychological barrier was broken, it took less than 2 months for this “impossible” feat to be repeated, and before long many others had also.
The quality of your performance is impacted not only by your skills and abilities, but also by your expectations regarding success or failure. Often one or more negative experiences (sometimes from something apparently unrelated) can set up the mind for self doubt and expectations of failure. If you are anxious, self-conscious, or riddled with self-doubt your performance will be severely hampered even if you do have the necessary skill and ability.
Performance is inhibited by stress, and often the difference between your success or failure is the ability to control your emotional state. Top athletes, executives and stage performers have the ability to perform with passion while remaining in control of their emotional state. This allows them to stay focused on priorities and react appropriately to challenging situations.
Unfortunately it is not just a matter of saying to yourself, “don’t worry” or “positive thinking”, because the core beliefs that cause performance anxiety or self sabotage are buried deep in unconscious areas of the mind.
Fortunately performance anxiety is generally very responsive to hypnosis and hypnotic interventions because hypnotic techniques are able to reach and reprogam these unconscious patterns. Hypnosis teaches you to reduce or eliminate the stresses that inhibit peak performance and can reinforce trained behaviour to make your automatic reactions much more powerful and effective.
